Desirae Shythe is a physical therapist driven to see her patients thrive. Her happiness in life comes from her success, no matter how small the step.
Ethan ‘Hammer’ McCoy is known for having an iron fist and an iron heart.
When an injury confines him to a wheelchair, he meets the fierce physical therapist who makes it her personal mission to see him walk again.
As they both face the struggles of his rehabilitation, can he hammer his way into her heart?
Warning This book contains mature themes, bikers who give the term Alpha Male whole new definition, a bar scene that will shock your panties off and a wee bit of violence. If that isn't your cup of tea - don't read it! *This series is loosely attached to USA Today Best-Selling Author Chelsea Camaron's Hellions Ride MC Series and Jessie Lane's Ex Ops Series.*

Hammer Regulators MC Book 2 edition by Chelsea Camaron Jessie Lane Romance eBooks
Hammer, the second in the Regulators MC Series, has taken a long time to get here. Ice, the first in the series came out in 2014, and at the end, Hammer was in a wheelchair due to a massive injury during an op. Since then, I’ve wondered about Hammer and even periodically checked to see if I missed any new releases in the series. Unfortunately, after all this time the book ended up being just okay for me.I guess since it’s been awhile, the author thought we’d need to go back over what happened to put him in the wheelchair. This meant a big chunk of time was spent going over ground already covered which made me seriously regret re-reading Ice. Because of the rehash of events, Hammer and Des don’t even meet until the 37% mark. To add to it, the timelines didn’t quite match up which is like nails on the chalkboard for me.
Des’ story is a sad one. Losing her sister who’s also her best friend, then having to leave everything behind because of her sister’s poor choices would be a hard pill for anyone to swallow. It’s good that Des’ adopted family is the Hellions and through their relationship with the Regulator’s she has a safe place to go to while in hiding. Des is a physical therapist and Hammer is in desperate need of one which gives Des the perfect place to go and she has something to do while she’s there.
Hammer is in a full alpha male temper tantrum because he’s in his chair. I did crack up at Hammer learning the hard way it’s not smart to piss off your physical therapist. Unfortunately, this book spent most of the time spinning it’s wheels while Hammer whined, pouted and drank.
Because of the close quarters, we do get an almost slow burn romance feel while Des and Hammer actually work together to help him heal. I liked them becoming friends and learning to laugh together before hitting the sheets. There was lots of smolder to get you through to the “finale”. I chose to ignore the club whore interludes during this time, not that they did Hammer any good.
I’m glad I got to see Des and Hammer get together, but I can’t say I’m satisfied after such a long wait for their story.

Hammer Regulators MC Book 2 edition by Chelsea Camaron Jessie Lane Romance eBooks Reviews
*Happy sigh*...I have waiting for a year for Hammer and it was WELL worth the wait. Camaron and Lane did not disappoint in this story. I actually think they kicked the volume WAY up in this one with Hammer and Desirae. This story was intense and sexy and sexily intense (if that even makes sense ) ). Although I do declare Hammer as my new book boyfriend, he does have moments that will make you want to kick him...then kiss him. The beginning of the story starts out with a gripping introduction and doesn't let go until the very end.
If you enjoy a different type of MC romance, then definitely add this series to your TBR list.
This one I really did not enjoy. Not a fan of graphic scenes between the H and someone other than the h. Also not a fan of him bringing woman home when she is living there (even though they are not together yet), the first time I guess I could deal with but the 2nd was the night after they just kissed in the afternoon and that just kills the book for me. Also not sure how they were able to kidnap her when she is being protected by heavily trained men and in a house that is supposed to have top notch security. That felt a bit unrealistic to me. Liked the first book much better as well as other books by these authors, this one was just a miss for me
Oh Hammer - WOW! I read the first book in this series, ICE, and instantly just fell in love with the Regulator's MC men, it was one of the best books I had read in a while and HAMMER sure didn't disappoint, in fact I think Hammer took it up a few notches! Ms Chelsea and Ms Jessie takes you on an intense journey in Hammer that grabbed me from the start and didn't let go until the very last word - this was one of those books that I just couldn't put down until I was done. Their writing is just brilliant with this story and they manage to do what very few can and really engage a full spectrum of emotions, including a few tears and I rarely get teary reading a book!
Hammer is a strong, well developed character, he's an a$$hat at times but even then you can understand where he's coming from and why, the authors really made me almost feel his pain. Des was just an all around well formed character, a strong and independent woman who goes through some heartache yet remains standing - she's the type of female lead that I just love to read about. I'm trying not to say too much, dont want to give any spoilers away. Loved all of the secondary characters too, especially the cameo roles we see from characters of other series both Chelsea Camaron and Jessie Lane write.
I'm not the best review writer, and honestly I don't write as many as I should, but I just couldn't pass up writing one for Hammer - this book was JUST.THAT.GREAT! The Regulators MC Series is just going from strength to strength and I can't wait to read more. You won't be disappointed with this one.
Thank you Ms Chelsea and Ms Jessie for finally giving us Hammer's story - looking forward to more! Love, love, LOVED this book!
I absolutely loved this book!!!! This love story is so wonderful! I love the realistic drama that takes place in both the lives of Ethan and Desirae that shows even through the worst times in life, love can still be born!!! The love Hammer develops for Desirae is so deep and thoughtful, I totally cried when I read "She's with my dad. He left this world, trusting me with what mattered most to him. I trust him in their world with what matters most to you." WOW, just kill me....Chelsea Camaron and Jessie Lane WOW!!!!!! These ladies know how to write and know how to take me away to the most beautiful lives and worlds of people I almost feel like family to!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait for the next ones!!!!!!!!!!!!!
